Elegy II (The Bubble)

Circles plopped beside one another

bubbles distant in an ether

caught in a web

slide against one another

a tension

a force, a pull

the smaller bubble asks the larger one to let it go

“No, you’ve evaded me before.”

The friction increases

the larger consumes the smaller

“you’ll need me more than you’ll think.”
