Gave You My Lungs

Careened sweetly loutish through
fluid machines – left to breathe sunsets
– spilled the urgencies and for growth
I muttered – cleansed languages verses
unfathomed in the lusty strands
– and those stilled openings how they appeared
in such whiteness and glowed
so frivolously – it was almost contemplation
– complaisant reaction to an instinct
like a rallying cry
– you wanted an anthem
and I gave you my lungs.
